Joseph E. Turk, Jr., President

Joe brings to CDPC a strong strategy and market development background. Before joining NxStage in 2000, he served as Director of New Business Development at Boston Scientific. Prior to this, he was one of the leaders of McKinsey & Company's Midwest Health Care and Biotechnology Practice as a Senior Engagement Manager in the firm's Chicago Office.

Joe received his AB in Economics from Wabash College and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg School.

Rodney S. Kenley
Senior Vice President, Advanced Product Devlopment; Aksys, Ltd.

Mr. Kenley founded Aksys in January 1991 to develop a novel system for performing daily home hemodialysis; a product which is now commercially available. He has 30 years of experience in healthcare, most of which have been spent in the Renal Replacement Therapy arena. Prior to founding Aksys, he held several positions at Baxter Healthcare from 1977 through 1990 including International Marketing Manager, Business Unit Manager for Peritoneal and Hemodialysis products, Manager of New Business Development, Director of Worldwide Product Planning, Director of Advanced Product Development, and VP of Electronic Drug Infusion. Mr. Kenley received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Chemistry from the Wabash College in 1972, a Masters of Science degree in Molecular Biology from Northwestern University in 1974 and a Masters of Management from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, also at Northwestern University in 1976.



James M. Sweeney
Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations; Renal Solutions

Mr. Sweeney joined Renal Solutions in March of 2004 as Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations responsible for Marketing, Sales, and Business Development oversight.  Prior to joining Renal Solutions, Mr. Sweeney served in numerous senior level positions at Baxter International over a seventeen year period.  Most recently he served in the role of Vice President of Strategy Development for the $1.7 Billion Renal Division.  Prior to this role, residing in Singapore, he served as Vice President/General Manager of Baxter Renal Asia, a $100 Million operating unit serving 14 countries with 250 employees.  Mr. Sweeney has served in a variety other senior roles in the Baxter organization with a focus in marketing. He currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the Pittsburgh Product Strategy Network. Mr. Sweeney holds an MBA in Marketing/Business Strategy from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business Northwestern University and a BS in Accounting from Miami University.
